The Baton Rouge Daylily Society usually holds its' meetings in March and October. The doors usually open at 9:30 with the short business meeting starting at 10:00 and program follows.

Fall 2012 meeting date is October 20 as announced by President Chris Bridges. Gather starting @ 9:30 am & meeting starts @ 10am. Location is the Drusilla Seafood Restaurant on Drusilla Lane in Drusilla Shopping Center @ I-12 WEST exit to Drusilla; takes you into the centers parking lot. Gather @ 9:30 Program is a slide show on Louisiana Hybridizers, election of officers for 2013-2014, optional Dutch Treat Lunch (you choose your own & you pay).
In an optional activity, an AHS Garden Judge Workshop 1 training will be held after lunch. A fee and registration are required. A certification test is also part of the workshop. AHS Instructors are Muriel & Tom Walker; for details contact muriel49@cox.netBRDS partnered with the Southeast Louisiana Daylily Society to sponsor a one-day bus tour on Saturday, May 19th to private daylily gardens near LaPlace, Covington and Hammond, LA. It was Terrific!!! Watch for more trips next spring

The 2012 spring meeting was 3/31/2012 at Drusilla Seafood Restaurant; in Baton Rouge. We enjoyed a great program by Hybridizer Josh Jaques of Bayou Bend Daylilies. Elections were held to fill positions of 2 officers who resigned; President & Secretary. Since a slate of officers had been nominated for the 2013/2014 term, the nominees of Chris Bridges for President and Claire Fontenot for Secretary were elected and installed during the meeting.

- BRDS was the proud host for the 2011 National Convention of the American Hemerocallis Society in Baton Rouge May 25-28, 2011. Over 480 persons attended the 4 day event.
