Clarence J. Crochet 1999 — 2007 AHS Garden Judges Liaison 1978 — 1979 President of the American Hemerocallis Society 1998 Recipient of the Bertrand Farr Award from the American Hemerocallis Society for an Outstanding Hybridizer Recipient of the Helen Field Fischer Award for Outstanding Service to the American Hemerocallis Society Recipient of the Regional Service Award for Outstanding Service to Region 13 of the American Hemerocallis Society Garden Judge Instructor and Garden Judge for American Hemerocallis Society Co-Treasurer of Baton Rouge Daylily for over 20 years. Co-Treasurer of Delta Daylily Society for over 10 years. Crochet Daylily Gardens - An AHS Display Garden since 1980's Elmer Duplantis * Regional Vice President of Region 13 for 2003 - 2006 President of Delta Daylily Society 1997 - 2000  and during the 1998 National Convention in Lafayette, La. Over 800 persons attended making it, many believe, the largest AHS Convention ever held. Mr. Duplantis passed away suddenly in July of 2006. In the fall of 2006, the AHS Board of Directors voted to award Elmer and his lovely wife, Myrtis the 2007 Regional Service Award for Region 13 in recognition and appreciation of their outstanding service to their region and the daylily.  Mrs. Earlene Garber 1996 — 1997 President of the American Hemerocallis Society Past Regional Vice President of Region 13 2000 Recipient of the Helen Field Fischer Award for Outstanding Service to the American Hemerocallis Society 2000 Recipient of the Regional Service Award for Outstanding Service to Region 13 of the American Hemerocallis Society AHS Best Newsletter Award.  This was the first time ever the Best Newsletter Award was won by one editor in back to back years. Past President of Delta Daylily Society and Southwest Daylily Society Lee Gates * 1996 Recipient of the Bertrand Farr Award from the American Hemerocallis Society as an Outstanding Hybridizer. Recipient of the Regional Service Award for Outstanding Service to Region 13 of the American Hemerocallis Society Mr. Gates passed away peacefully October 2, 2000. Monroe, Sr. * Registrar for the American Hemerocallis Society Recipient of the Helen Field Fischer Award for Outstanding Service to the American Hemerocallis Society Recipient of the Regional Service Award for Outstanding Service to Region 13 of the American Hemerocallis Society Past President of Baton Rouge Daylily. William E. Monroe, Jr. Registrar for the American Hemerocallis Society. Bill brought the massive database of registered cultivars of the American Hemerocallis Society into the computerized era. His conversion of the paper records and work with his father Bill Monroe, Sr. have made a extensive world of information available today by computer.
